"To date, we have raised over £235,000, which goes towards the running costs of CLIC Sargent's holiday home, Malcolm Sargent House, Prestwick, Scotland.
This money will ensure that more children with cancer and their families get a holiday, when they most need it."

A Big Celebration - 5 years in remission
This year is a big year for Ross as he is 5 years in remission. To celebrate this I am planning 1 fundraising event per month.
January:
My sponsered diet started. I aim to lose 3st before the end of 2010. I have lost half a stone so far, with the help of my sister, Karen Murrie of Rosemary Conley's Diet & Fitness Classes.
February:
I had a teddy tombola in Asda, Ayr, which raised £253
March:
I had 2 car boot sales planned for this month but due to bad weather, I only managed to do one, which raised £218. I plan to do more when the better weather comes.
April:
This is the month that Ross finished his reatment. What better way to celebrate than a kids party.
Venue: Kidzplay
Date: Wednesday 28th April
Time: 4pm - 6pm
Tickets: £5 per child, includes 2hrs play, party food, juice & ice cream
A big thank you to Kizplay for donating the food

June:
I am organising & taking part in a zipslide in Prestwick. I did this in 2008 and absolutely loved it.
To take part please e-mail eileenlgranger@aol.com or may.gilchrist@clicsargent.org.uk
July:
I am organising and taking part in an abseil. Date and venue still to be confirmed.
August:
I am organising a skydive in Perth. I would like to do this but Shaun says my mum would never forgive him if I did it. So he's doing it instead.

For the first year after this, I thought life couldn't get any worse. But now I get up every morning, and I think life can't get any better. You see, on this dreadful day in 2004, my son Ross, was diagnosed with cancer.
He was just 11 months old. Ross is now a happy, healthy 6 year old - just a "normal" wee boy, going to school, playing football, being mischievous......and I wouldn't have it any other way. Throughout Ross' treatment - and beyond - the UK's leading children's cancer charity, CLIC Sargent were there for us. Since Ross went into remission, I have become a volunteer for CLIC Sargent - raising funds at every opportunity.
To date, I have raised over £235,000, which goes towards the running costs of CLIC Sargent's holiday home, Malcolm Sargent House, Prestwick, Scotland. This money will ensure that more children with cancer and their families get a holiday, when they most need it.
